My interest in Acupuncture started over ten years ago when I went for treatment myself and I was so amazed to see that it helped me!  So I started to read books about it and was very interested in finding out more.  This led me to look into courses I could take and so began my journey of becoming an Acupuncturist.

I studied for three years at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York and was awarded a Professional Diploma in Acupuncture.  I also achieved a First Class BsC Honours Degree in Acupuncture from London South Bank University.  I am primarily trained in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) style of Acupuncture.

During the 3 years I studied I also completed nearly 400 hours in the student clinic treating a wide range of people with a wide range of health conditions.

I am fully licensed with Wakefield Council and am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK.

I have completed Post Graduate Training in Facial Acupuncture and am a member of Cosmetic Acupuncture UK.

I have also completed Post Graduate Training in Acupuncture for Fertility and IVF support and am now a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network.

I have a valid First Aid certificate.

After graduating I locumed in a busy clinic in Wakefield for 2 days per week.  During this time I treated people with a wide variety of health conditions.  These included Migraine, Sciatica, Lower back pain, Parkinsons, RSI, Shoulder pain, PMS, Period pain, Menopausal issues, Allergies, Digestive issues, UTI's, Stroke and Arthritis.

In April 2022 I was excited to opened up my own clinic in George Street and worked there for a year, welcoming lots of new patients throught the doors.  I also started back at Wakefield Osteopaths in May 2022 dividing my time between the 2 clinics.

From April 2023 I will be moving into Wakefield Osteopaths full time and spend all my working days there treating patients.  I look forward to welcoming you into my clinic soon.

Prior to training to be an Acupuncturist I have 20 year teaching experience.  I am a mum of two children and love being out in the countryside or by the sea walking our dogs with the family.
