Why work with a fertility acupuncturist?
Maybe you are choosing acupuncture because they would like to avoid assisted conception; maybe you have heard it is a beneficial support treatment during assisted conception; perhaps you have tried everything else and want to explore all the options that may help you to conceive. Whatever the reason you are considering acupuncture for fertility, it can be a great way of helping to bring you into better balance, wherever you are in your fertility journey.
The evidence in support of acupuncture for IVF
A recent high-level review and meta-analysis — the highest level of research of its kind — reviewed 3,188 women from 12 randomised trials. The study revealed that acupuncture significantly affected the birth rates of patients undergoing IVF and ICSI. The review also indicates that the effectiveness of acupuncture may be dose-dependent, i.e. a sufficient number of sessions over an adequate period. While research is ongoing and is not conclusive, this study confirms that acupuncture may provide a fundamental supportive role in IVF treatment. (The British Acupuncture Council)

My clinic results
During 2022 I supported many women with their fertility journey. This included patients who wanted to improve their chances of a natural conception as well as those who wanted support during IVF/ICSI/Frozen Transfer.
There have been many successes and now the babies are starting to be born as we move through 2023.
It is an absolute privilage to walk this journey as a support with people and getting the message that someone is pregnant or receiving updates and scan photos is just an amazing part of my job.
It is important to note that regular Acupuncture gets the best results and 3 months is the optimum time to start before you have any treatment if possible.
